I had the same thing...my dealer fixed it as part of warranty no charge and told me that every one of the ES350 they have sold has that issue, disapointing from the quality stand point, i thought it was a Lexus...

FWIW, I have a 4/06 build car purchased in early May '06. No rattles at all in well over two years. And that's driving around on the bad roads/streets around here.

There is a TSIB on dash rattles. It involves removing the dash and aligning certain parts with felt. I had it done and it did the trick. Get a loaner, it is a day's work.

I have the same rattle, and knew of the TSB when I took it to the dealer a couple of months back to have it fixed but did not mention the TSB to them. I wanted to see if their techs were knowledgeable and read the TSBs. They weren't and don't. They simply put glue between the wood trim around the transmission shifter, which did absolutely nothing. Oddly, after they did the work, I noticed my climate control buttons don't beep when pressed. I could have sworn they did previously.

Anyone have a similar rattle repaired and know what the fix was?

The dash rattle is also a problem with the 3GS. I had mine from the 3rd month I had the car. I took it in and got it back the same day. Very simple fix. They will take out the dash , line the back of it with3M felt tape, and BOOM!!!! No more rattle. My car is low and rides on 30 profile tires and still no return of the rattle. Dont worry they can fix it at the next oil change

I brought my car in for a rattle in the same general area. The service advisor mentioned there was a TSB for it and when I got the car back the next day the rattle was gone.
That was months ago and it's been quiet ever since.

It is time consuming. Maybe try another dealer if this one is not interested.

It appears dash rattle I had for some time was not the Lexus. It was the toll pay module (here in Florida it is known as Sunpass) attached to my windshield. Lexus found after I brought it to them on a sunny day. Seems the suction cups attaching it to the windshield get soft in hot sun and let the module rattle against the windshield or whatever. It goes away on cloudy days or once cool. My first Lexus problem and it wasn't the fault of Lexus.
