New rear brakes every 15k miles??!
Took my ES350 to the dealership this morning because of the loud squeaky noise coming from rear wheels when I brake in reverse. Sure enough, service tech called me and said I needed new rear brakes. I just changed it 15k miles ago, and that time it was changed at 15k miles also. The last time I fought hard, claiming that there's NO WAY I would need new rear brakes at 15k miles. Lexus was gracious enough to refund my money as courtesy. This time, I can't really justify fighting again....as I suspect it has something to do with my stop-n-go traffic commute 30 miles per day everyday. What do you think?

What was the measurement of pad left compared to the front brakes? Seems like something is out of adjustment (parking brake?)
I have the same noise when backing up, but the Toyota dealer that changes my oil said the pads measure fine. 35K miles on original pads.
Something does not sound right.

Where are you? Which dealer do you go to? It sounds like you're in SoCal and you just shouldn't be having as much difficulty finding a good cheap place to do service if you're in SoCal.

thanks for the post. I am going to take it to corporate. Last time they changed my brakes I filed a complaint and got a full refund. But that was before this TSIB, so they did not correct the problem. I'll keep yall updated. Thanks for the responses.

LOL, I got 50k miles on my dropped 2007 ES350 with 40% front and 50% back of the pads and I take it to the auto course every once in a while. You must do a LOT of stop and go when you drive.

I took the car to the dealer for state inspection, they told me my rear brakes were just about gone, I went a little crazy then called them the next day and said "I heard there is a TSB for premature brake wear?", he told me there were no open TSBs and I told him that for rear brakes to wear out so fast is NOT normal, he told me it was for those cars.
I hung up the phone, did more poking around online, basically i had to provide THEM with the TSB and only then did they realize it and swap the rear brakes out at no charge to me.
Dont settle for the "there are no open TSBs on your vehicle line", provide them with the TSB number and get results.
15k miles is NOT normal for rear brakes to be wearing.

Rear Brake Problem
I called Lexus because I could not believe my rear brakes needed new pads before my front ones. I told them with all the cars I have owned this was the first time that ever happened.
I paid for the new brakes and Lexus refunded half.
After reading the latest post I am upset they did not pay for the complete job.
