Thumbs down ES350 Paint Chip Problem

My wife drives a Black 2007 ES350. The car has 20 or 30 big paint chips on the front. This is rediculous. I have never owned a car in which the paint chips so easily. When we mentioned the problem to our Lexus dealer, they said they have looked at other vehicles with the same problem and Lexus is not doing anything about it. I feel certain there are many other ES350s with the same problem.
What can be done?

Thanks
Clint

So it does not get worse, I would consider a clear bra. I have one and love it

I get sick when I wash the car, now I just ignore them.

I was told:

soft paint
hard paint
my driving habits
the roads I drive on

meanwhile the 10 year old lexus it replaced had 2 on the whole car, guess I drove that one so much different and on so many different roads then this one?

My pickup and Jeep that I drive in the worse weather and roads possible dont have 3 chips combined.

im past it now, its just a car.

Honestly I would rather repaint the hood and bumper in a few years then look at one of those "clear" bras on the front of the car- but to each his own.

It's just not only on the ES line but also on the IS. I lost count of how many paint chips her 07' IS250 has on both the bumper and the hood. We've had this car for 2 years now.

I have never seen this on my older cars and I just planning to re-paint the hood and the bumper in the summer since she does not do long distance anymore..

I just got my 08' ES350 and I've got a paint chip on the hood...

Lexus definately have to improve on their paint quality since it is compromised in other aspects...

I opted not to get a clear bra because of horror stories I had seen posted here. Well, 2 1/2 years later...the front of my car looks like swiss cheese. OMG, did I fug up!

Get a clear bra bro!!

Soft paint is an issue for virtually all car manufacturers now. Because of EPA findings all cars manufactured and sold in America must utilize a water based paint instead of the old lacquer based paint. The water based paint is much softer and takes months to properly cure. You will see this issue again and again on a variety of auto forums. I agree with others that a clear bra shield is the best solution.
