Is there a rear sway bar available for our ES350? I want to improve driving characteristics on this car a bit (especially when i am driving in a curvy road where i don't want to slow down too much).

You might check and see if the Camry SE has one. That could mean it might work on the ES.

I have been trying to find out if the Camry SE's will fit. From Carson, the SE sway is only 60 bucks. There's also a Ultra racing rear sway for the camry that might fit as well, its $250. From what I have read, the SE sway is a bit thicker, and possibly solid. I will be going to Carson soon and checking if the ES sway is the same as the Camry sway. I'll let everyone know when I find out!

VegasIS300, let us know once you find out from Carson. BTW, when you say Carson, do you mean the city name Carson in California?
If so, that would be good for me because i also live in Southern California.
A thicker rear sway makes a ton of difference in cornering. It added lots of "fun" to my 1999 5 speed Solara when i had it installed many years ago.

Sway bars help reduce body roll in tight corners or while cornering fast. The one on the ES350 is pretty thin and apparently hollow. While this makes it light, it makes it prone to twisting, bending and shifting, thereby reducing its effectiveness.

About 25 pounds at the most for weight increase. I bet it would actually be less than 10 pounds increase. I have added a lot of bigger bars to various cars, and the increase in thickness or solid over hollow does not increase the weight enough to be a factor.
I think trying the Camry SE rear bar is a great idea and the cost is low. You could probably cruise a few local junkyards and get one for $20 if you pull it yourself.

the years listed are what was posted on ebay. so before spending money on the upgraded ones i guess i will have to find a junk Camry to borrow one and see if they line up. the pictures look very similar.
