Default 09 ES350 pricing...

Hello all,

I am a new-b and this is my very first post in this forum. I am in a market for a new 2009 ES350 for my wife. I am looking a premium plus package, HID adaptive light, blue tooth audio, and wood and leather steering wheel in smoky granite mica and blk interior. I was told that HID is no longer an option unless I get an UL package. Is it correct and why is Lexus not offering the HID?

Anyway, what do you think it would be a fair market price now given the fact, that the economy is still shaky? How much above or below invoice? Should I wait until the 2010 model arrives so I can get more discount on the 2009 model?

Would you mind share your OTD price with the similar options?

Thank you in advance for your comments and feedbacks.

Lexus, as well as many other car makers, do very strange things with their options. While I think xenons should be standard in this class, they think otherwise. So if you really have to have certain features, you are going to be forced to pay dearly for them.

As far as pricing, the ES is growing long in the tooth and you should be able to get a VERY good deal at this late point in the model year. (A facelift should surface in a month or two, making this model a has-been).

Also, a lot can depend upon where you live, what the Lexus programs are for your region, and how many dealers are in your area trying to compete for business. Further, you mentioned, "OTD" price. Never buy a car basing the price on "out the door." A dealer can hide all kinds of things in there and make a ton off you.

The best advice I can give you is to go to Edmunds.com and learn what the invoice is and all applicable rebates for your zip code. Then, go to their "Town Square" section and look up the ES350 purchases/leases. There you will find what other people in your area are currently paying for their car. Take those numbers, shoot for even lower and then EMAIL all the local Lexus dealerships in your area. Deal with the internet departments, not regular salespeople. Tell them exactly the car you want, the options, the colors (your color combo should be easy to find), and the price you want to pay (should be far below invoice at this point in time). The hungriest dealer will win your business. Do not settle for anything less... it's your hard-earned money and you've done your homework. The best part is you don't have to go running around from dealer to dealer. Make your agreement online, go in and pay for the car, and enjoy!

Also, ive been quoted $41,000 for Nav on an ES... What do you think would be a good starting price and Final price?

Thanks

Wait for the 2010's. They are just a couple months out and the ES will receive an face-lift and minor interior update (including a new Navi).

I finally pulled a trigger after searching and negotiating for nearly 3 weeks. I am going to bring her home tomorrow from Lexus of Tustin, California. She has a premium plus package, wood and leather steering wheels, blue tooth audio, non-nav and ml though, and other accessories items. I may also add on a spoiler lip, but let see.

She is going to be in Smoky Granite Mica and black interior . I will try to post her picture if I have a chance tomorrow.

Congrats on your purchase.....I love that color! She will look even more sweet if you put a classy tint on it.

Too bad it is going to be outdated in a couple months, otherwise it sounds nice.

How did you find one w/ an HID adaptive light? I was told by an Internet Fleet Manager that 2009 does not equipped w/ the HID, unless you get one the the UL package?

Congrats! Sounds like a beauty!
Did you check what invoice was? You know you should never buy a vehicle based off sticker price. The 2009's should be selling for well under sticker at this point.
Again, congrats and ENJOY!

I brought her home yesterday afternoon from a different dealer instead of, the one fr. Tustin. Anyway, she has these things on her:

1- Premiun plus packing
2- Rear side air bag
3- Blue tooth audio
4- Full size spare tire
5- Wood/leather steering wheel
6- Cargo net
7- Trunk mat
8- Wheel lock, and
9- Rear lip spoiler

The Sticker priceswas listed @ $38,239 and I got it for $33,281 plus tax and license.

Here is a few pictures of her last night after detailing...she smells really good, super clean, and shiny....

Indeed the 2010 will be revised and revealed shortly. Please refer to the 2010 thread near this one for more information. Today's 2009 is a closeout model.

Yes from the looks of it the 2010 ES will get a minor refresh...but nothing drastic, I think a refresh of the grille and taillights. Thanks for the correction..:
