ES 350 3M Clearbra
Are there any user reports on the 3M Clearbra installed on both of the front facing surfaces of the side mirrors and all of the front facing surfaces (bumper & hood) of the car on the ES 350. What did you pay for the installation?

I got the Clearbra for all front surfaces done for $450 last week....happy so far. I also got the protection for the rear bumper which has the Lexus monogram on it. I think Lexus website prices it under ES accessories for $69....paid tax and installation was free. All work done through subcontractor, so $450 was the final price on the front. 3M also makes Lampguards for the headlights and fog lights. Bought then for $55 from Weathertech...install was $30 on those. Looks foggy though on the lights....will see if this clears...may have to take it back if this doesn't go away...i thinks it may have been done improperly on the headlights as i t is supposewd to be clear.

The paint is so soft on these cars...it should be included as standard.

Paid $225 from a gentleman locally for both mirrors and a large section of the front hood, ie. not including the front bumper. The leading edge of the hood up to about 1/3 of the hood. Excellent job, wish it had been done new and I wouldn't have the 2-3 big chips under the bra that I had to paint over.

+1 Macklin, can't believe how soft the paint is that Lexus uses. Wonder if all manufactures use it ??

I too suffer from the soft paint, and have had multiple chips on the hood. I have been trying to build them up weekly, after washing, using the touch up pen. Recently got one with a diameter of like 5 mm.
Is it still worth getting a clear bra installed on the full hood on an '07 (6+ years old now). It has a small amount of bubble rust/oxidization at front of the hood. Headlights are becoming a little oxidized, would have been nice to been clear bra'd when new.

Actually soft paint helps with minimizing of the chips, it is if the paint is brittle that it will chip more... So many car companies go for softer paint in the front for this reason
I too am looking to either get the 3M clear bra or hood deflector... Are there any places out there selling a kit for DIY clear bra?

i got mine done at lexus when i purchased my car. I think it cost a little over 500. I had to take it back in and get it re-done after a couple of weeks, due to bubbles/peeling. They did a much better job the second time, and fixed it at n/c.
