compare the difference between stock 4300K D4S HID light bulb (left) with JDM Garax 8000K D4S HID light bulb (right)
they claim their bulb is better with cooler blue light.
lets hope we can get a pair for 200. and if it last 4-5 years, I;ll stick to HID.

I have a 2009 ES350 and I would like to replace the headlights with the Xenon or HID light. Is it a big job? Can someone please provide me with some idea as to what steps are required to make this switch.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Since the ES350 comes stock with projector headlights, converting from a halogen setup to HID's should be fairly simple. You can buy a plug-and-play HID kit that comes with bulbs, ballasts, and wiring harnesses; it should be a fairly straightforward install. Kits can vary by quality and price greatly, so research before you buy.

I was browsing for a new Toyota for my dad, he's had the same Rav4 since '97. When he saw the Avalon he loved the car but cut the conversation short when the sales guy told him they Don't offer cloth seats! Of all things... Anyway, I have a point, maybe Lexus and other brands are looking to offer what some feel is a bargain basement offering when the reality is some people just prefer the old style...

I remember not too many years ago Toyota offered cloth as well as bench seat options in the Avalon. These choices no doubt appealed to the older Avalon buyers. Probably a case of not selling enough of them that way to keep them available.

I noticed when I got the ES 350, with the incentives, it's like getting these "options/upgrades" close to 'free'...
