Brake pedal clunking
I recently purchased 2007 ES350 with ~20k miles. Before buying it I tried a couple of other 2007 ones at the dealer, but ended up buying from AAA service.
I've noticed that all three had the same slightly annoying feature. When the brake pedal is rapidly released, there is quite noticeable clunking sound. E.g. you are sitting at the stoplight, it changes to green, you drop the brake pedal and step on gas - and the brake pedal goes up - thump!
My two other cars (Nissan and Acura) don't do that. The pedal quietly hits some soft damper.
Of course I can release the pedal slowly, and then there is no clunking sound. But I want to know whether this is typical on all ES350s (new and used)? Does your car do that? Or is some sort of rubber pedal stop worn out in mine and I should point it out when I see the dealer?
Thanks a bunch for your input.
