FYI as I mentioned I usually fill the tank up so that you see fuel at the top of the filler neck. So I have been watching the fuel gage and the neddle did not move from the far right (slightly above the full mark) until I drove 75 miles. Also being this was local city miles I was only getting 22-23 MPG. After the 75 miles the neddle moved to the full mark. So if you want to get an accurate check you would need to fill it to the top and then drive 100 or so miles and refill it to the top and do the math. That will give you an accurate measure and will allow you to check it against your info panel reading.

Ah hah! You just proved to me that your "fill it to the brim" recommendation is over the top. I already stated (post 3) that my fuel gauge does not normally move off full (pegged) until about 60 miles. That is after filling it to the first click. So taking the time to fill it until you can see gas is...IMHO...not necessary.

And! Always filling it the same way should render comparable results.

Only if you want to go further on a tank. Otherwise just fill it to the 1st click.

its normal for the mpg's to go down with the bad weather. your avg speed falls dramatically hence much lower mpg's. its not a hybrid...

I am not driving any different than before, but the heat and heated seats are on most of the time. I guess VSC and TCS engaging frequently because of slippery stops/starts and corners send a lot of engine power into the brakes. Indeed YMMV...
