Default Trade Up???

I would like to get some feedback on how many would trade their 07-09 ES, for the 2010?? Is the 2010 ES compelling enough that you would seriously consider trading in your 07, 08, or 09??....Thanks for the feedback

I just bought a ES350 2008 black on black Ultra premium and yes i would trade it the next day for a ES 350 2010 for the extra blings and the USB port. But, i would have to live with my great purchase for quite a long time until i get bored

I did it - 2007 to 2010 but the most compelling part was my lease expiring. Having had the 2010 for only a week I am happy for the change though. It just seems more "lexus like" to me. Quieter, a little more modern look, and hopefully fewer bugs. I really like it and appreciate the changes more than I thought I would.

I've owned an IS and GS and but never an ES 350 but for me the '10 looks a bit classier with the refresh.
The upgrades to me that really made me buy the car are the chrome accent trim on the rocker panel and the chrome trim on the interior wood that really make the interior much more luxurious.
Especially with the black interior.
The only negative I have on the '10 is I actually like the old wheels a bit more.

I have indeed been thinking about trading up to the 10 from my 07. My reasons are to get rid of the seemingly unfixable transmission & engine vibration issues. I ultimately come back to the thought that its the wrong reason to trade and I'm now working with a second dealership on these issues.

Also, I'm not sure I'd just go to a '10 ES without driving some competitors, like the G37. I still like the styling of the ES and the interior, and love the ruby red, which isn't offered anymore in the 10's

I like all of the 2010 model year changes (except maybe the fog lights) but for me, they are not enough to motivate me to change at this time.

My '07 has been a great car, problem free, relatively low miles and in mint condition and is fine for now. I'm getting the new car bug, and will surely consider a 2010, but most likely would try something else if I go through with a new purchase.

I did test the G37x sedan for a long time before ever thinking of the ES, and we are in 2 differents world, be prepared for that. G37 come close in comfort, the A+ is the rear wheel drive coupling to the AWD, the wonderful engine mechanic and sound. The car is more narrow, so you may feel closer to the occupant. The smile factor is definitively there, but the interior design is a downfall, too simple looking, but all the techno stuffs are there.

If I were to trade in, I don't think I would go for another ES have and 07 w/29K and had an 02 that was traded for the 07. I think I might go to an 2010 RX, to me they look a lot like an ES (front end) plus the seats fold down (I miss that, always had something to haul bulky items). Plus you sit higher in the vehicle, and the seat has a wider range of movement. (I think) I like that for long trips.

Thanks for the feedback...I really love the ES...and I have been looking at some of the upgrades on the 2010. I'm presently speaking with my dealer to see if it would be possible to get a 2010 with very little out of pocket expense. I have very low miles on my 09. I'm not completely convinced on the trade up...but just wanted to see if anyone else thought the changes to the 2010 is compelling enough to trade up. I do prefer the front end/fog lights on the 07-09. I'll keep you posted on the final outcome....
