Thinking about a ES350 - 2011 this fall - Good Choice?
I currently have a 07 GS350 and my wife has a 03 ES300. - We are going to get my wife a new car this fall. I am thinking about the 2011 ES350. Are all you ES350 owners a happy bunch?
I had a 99 GS300 and it was a flawless car, however my 07 GS350 has a number of 'issues', mostly the dash rattles, that the dealership can't fix. If you have ever been over to the GS350 forum, you can find tons of posts on this. I am wondering if the 2009-2010 ES350 suffers from any maladies that can't be corrected.

I have only had my 2010 for just over a month but really do like it. Even my wife who does not often notice such things came back after the first and subsequent drives saying this car is quieter, better riding, faster (I'm not sure I agree with that one) than our 2007. I had not expected quieter and better riding in the 2010 but it would appear that Lexus has quietly made some improvements without admitting that they may have cut a few corners on the 2007's. I am even getting a little better gas mileage than I was getting. And I like the new style changes - well maybe not the fog lights. I would not expect the 2011's to be much different from the 2010 models.

As for being faster, did they reduce the lag time between when you press on the accellerator and the time you actually accellerate? That would give one the impresssion of more speed.

Well there is still a noticable lag when you go from a light cruise to suddenly mashiing it , on my 2010. Maybe 1/4 to a little more of a second. If you are in a lower gear already like pulling away from a stoplight and are in say 2nd already, there is no lag when I mash it. I drove a 2007 and a 2008. They all did it the same.
