Picked up new ES 350 on Monday. Nav/ML/Ultra with black interior. Added the complete 3M protection (I live on a gravel road). Replacing a 2006 Infiniti G35. Took a 250 mile road trip on Monday and really enjoyed the car. Luckily my wife kept watching traffice because I was playing with all the Nav dials. ML sound system is amazing. I-Pod hookup was no problem.

Wow! That is a trick new color! Wish we could get it with the black leather here.

I just purchased one of these as well. (Satin Cashmere ES). I am debating about whether to add the body side moldings like the original poster or leave the doors clean. I would think they would help absorb parking lot dings from other car doors. What do you all think????

The car looks so,so much better without the molding.I think the moldings are passable on older ES 350's without the '10's chrome rocker trim.
With the moldings I found myself parking away from other cars anyway.
Just my .02.

Just do what I do and park out in the middle of nowhere. I park so far away I have a higher probability of my car being hit full on by another car than a stupid door ding. I call it my new exercise program.

I had a set on when I bought my '10 and took them off.

I've decided to skip the moldings. I agree that the addition of the chrome strip in 2010 made it so that the side moldings wouldn't look right. Thanks for your opinions!
