Default 2009/2010 Lexus ES350 Questions PLEASE!

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy an ES350 and have a few questions that hopefully you can all answer for me. I got a price on a 2009 ES350 with 7500 miles with navigation for $27,754 with the 1.9% financing. I then got a price on the 2010 ES350 with navigation for $37,500 for 2.9% financing. My main questions are this: 1) What are the big differences between the 2009 and 2010 models? 2) Does the 2009 model with navigation come with bluetooth and back up camera (cause i know the 2010 does) and 3) Do you think its worth the extra 10k or so for the new one?

Thanks in advance for your help. I really wanna get in this new car ASAP so lets do this together!!!

You should have bluetooth and rear backup camera in the 09, if it has Nav. The 2010 did go through a body refresh this year, so it does look slightly different in the front and rear. There were some other minor changes. I believe the Nav system was upgraded too.

Is it worth $10K for the new one?, that is your call. 7500 miles on an 09 is not high and you could save $10K. But, it is also nice to have a new car and some of the changes to the 10 are pleasing to the eye.

Good luck

Is the 2009 CPO? Is the 2009 Mint? Clean Carfax? If so go for it. I chose a new 2010 at $34,000 no nav over 2008 CPO at $28,000 no nav with 20,000 miles. That was an easy choice. But you have a harder choice. Price on used must have tanked. I could not find anything like that.

Cool

I prefer the changes to the 2010 update over the 2009 personally...is it worth $10k for the 2010? Depends on one's point of view...one has to factor depreciation in (the car is technically a year old) & also used as opposed to brand spanking new. Will you be keeping the car a long time or do you trade it in every few years?

$10,000 is a lot of money - even more when you consider the finance costs. You'll have the same bells and whistles on both cars. It pretty much comes down to the slightly new styling and having a newer model year.

Is it worth it to you? Go for whichever choice you decide, there is no right or wrong answer here and you should enjoy a great car in either case.

hmmm well I just went to my local Lexus dealership and got them to give me the car for invoice with navigation and it comes out to 36 months, $898 out of pocket, 15k miles, for a flat $600 per month which from what I understand is a good deal. The first Lexus guy I spoke to wanted to charge $660 per month but I told them I had a friend at another dealership further away who was offering this. The only thing I'm concerned about is if a 685 credit score is gonna qualify for those prices. Hmmm.

normally you need to be in Excellent level w/ credit standing to qualify for spec interest rates. Excellent starts @ 740 I beleive.

Good Luck

10K for updated Nav, a little more wood, chrome trim and Sat radio? I say it's a lot for so little, personally, I prefer the look of 09 especially the front end. I say save yourself 10K, b/c IMO the only key difference is the NAV and the 'GM like' ONSTAR system they've added, a nice addition, but not a nice 10K extra. Good luck with your decision. Either way you'll enjoy this car!!
