Default Just took delivery on 2010 ES350!!!

Hi guys...just got the new ES350 today in silver with black interior. The car is awesome. It's almost scary how smooth it rides. I love the wood steering wheel and the nav system/lexus enform is incredible. I actually closed the garage door on the back of the car because I did not realize it was a good amount longer than my last car! Thank god it didn't do anything to the car. I have a few issues/questions that I really would like some answers too please. First...the lexus dealership said there are different floor mats in the car I got so the pedal isn't an issue now. It still feels like to me that the pedal is a little long? 2nd thing is I cannot seem to program my garage with my homelink system. Has anyone else had this problem? I did the whole "hold up the garage clicker to the homelink and press the button of each" but it didn't work. Do I need to do anything with the actual garage door motor in the middle of the garage?

Thanks.

congratulations on your new car.

You probably have a "rolling code" for your garage door opener. You can get instructions from the web or post your make and model of the garage door opener and I could figure it out for you. On mine it involved pushing a switch on the garage door opener unit itself in order to program. It was much easier to do with two people one in the car and one pushing the button on the opener body.

Congrats, I agree with the drive, it is so smooth. I had no problems with garage door openers. I have Camberlin system and one has a grey and other has a purple learn buttons. If you follow this link http://www.homelink.com/programming/programming.taf it help you but remember to reset after every failed attempt of programming.

If you have three button remote for the garage door,
sometimes the main (biggest) button would not program.
But if you try the second button, it would link to Homelink.
Keep trying. Sometimes this thing takes few attempts.
Congrats on new ride!

I also had to put my home garage dorr into learn mode. There is a button under one of the dual light covers. I pulled down the light cover, pressed the learn button and then was able to program my homelink. It did take a couple of tries and I noticed that the garage door opener may still be in learning mode even though your homelink indicates it is programmed. You might want to wait an extra 30seconds or so before trying to use the homelink so the whole electronic process can complete it's cycle.

I just got my Matador Red on Saturday and had some problems trying to program the code into the car. Here's what I found out. When programming a rolling code opener, do not hold down the "learning button". If you hold it down until the light in the button on the door opener goes off, it could deactivate your remote controller as well as the control you may have on the outside of the door. That happened to me, just press that button as if it was a doorbell button. So, the next step, I had to press the inside and outside buttons inside the car until it starts to flash rapidly. After that you make sure the remote is programmed and then you hold it to the buttons inside the car.

ingoodtime and RX 300 also gave you very good information. If everything fails, call homelink and they will walk you through the process. Let us no how it went.
