My 2010 ES350 that i've had for a week was smashed today . . . some 22 year old kid crashed into another car with crashed into the back of my car . . . pics to follow . . . is there anything Lexus can do for me? will the car ever be the same? what happens with all the backup sensors and what not now?!? i'm so upset

That is bad news - almost like your worst fear. I do hope the young man who ran into your car has insurance and that you can get something for diminished value. I have known two owners who had real serious crashes with new cars and the insurance company did replace the cars. For lesser damage contact your Lexus dealer for a good body shop and they will be able get your car back into almost new condition.
Sorry for your bad luck.

Good advice from Dave Mac. Be sure to let all parties know that you won't settle for anything less than the best repairs possible. The diminished value even after a good repair job can be a big issue too.

Smart move in getting the car fixed at a Lexus shop in case there's something said about the quality of the work at lease turn in time.
Feel better that it's a lease. If you bought the car,it would have an ugly Carfax accident and would be bad for selling or trading.

Joe is correct look at the postive at least you leased the car. Plus the biggest thing is your okay.
Also another postive is it's the back of the car and not where the engine is.
I can't understand how bad it can be if another car was hit first.
Can you post pics?

Totally agree .. 2 things going for you. You leased the car, so when the lease is up return the car with a smile on your face and 2ndly most important you folks are safe !!
After the repairs the car will be fine .. nothing to worry there.

I mean even if you did own it things happen there is notting you can do about it. Bottom line yes it's an expensive car but at the end of the day it's just a car not you.

You got lucky on the Lease. You don't have to worry about diminished value or reselling this wreck. The accident must have caused a lot of damage, including a bent frame, for that price. If they don't get the frame straight, you will pay the price with the car eating tire after tire. Make sure they get it back together right and get the frame straight.
