1) When driving, using Voice recognition, how do I lookup nearest POI by name rather than by category? Is that even possible?
Often times I have exact restaurant name in mind "Macaroni grill" or "Carrabas" or "Outback" - how do I search for those by name? If I say "nearest..." it expects category... Is there a way to search by name?
2) Sometimes voice guidance does not say a word as far as when to turn. The route is clearly shown on the map but I have to figure out myself when to turn by constantly looking at the screen. Happened to me last Sunday - it was in a small village, although all the streets were shown on the map and the route was very clearly defined. Moreover, on my way there, it guided me turn by turn, as usual. But when I was leaving and hit "Go Home" - it showed the way but kept silent. And only after I got on the major road the voice guidance kicked in. Is that normal?
3) When not under guidance, but with the map showing on the screen, how do I make it show all street names on the map? It only shows the one I'm on and some random street names... but I want to see all street names (I tried zooming in to the max)... Any idea?
Getting a bit frustrated with the nav... I've been using my tiny $100 garmin for the last 2 years and feels like it was generations ahead of Lexus nav...

You may get a better response if you state what year is your car. For instance, I just got a 2010 ES350 and the navigation is way ahead of the one in my previous car, 07 GS350.

I hardly used navi in my 07 GS350. Every time I tried something like "I'm hungry" instead of displaying the nearby restaurants it would answer with something like..."turning down the temperature to 65 degrees" or "turning on the wipers". I finally gave up voice command completely. On my new car, I have only tried a couple of commands and it answered very obediently.
Maybe someone else can help.
