Default Side Mirrors - Adjustment???

Just curious if anyone knows (dealer said no) if side mirrors can be adjusted for a better view when backing up? My old Acura did the same thing dropping down some automatically (actually only on right one) but didn't lower (view) as much as the ES mirrors. Both point it seems at a 45 degree angle and all you see is pavement. Dealer said i could de-activate which i'll most likely do since this is useless. Unless a way to have them lower some but not as extreme.
Not a big deal, but since the features there would be nice to be able to utilize it.

No, I don't think there is anything but up or down. I don't like them down all the way either and usually have the tilt feature turned off. Ocassionally it is useful but most of the time I find it distracting.

I have it off (mirror selector in the middle position).
I just can't see the sides of the garage door when mirrors tilt down.
Another strike against Lexus.
My wife's Acura MDX has this feature done properly - only right side tilts to a reasonable degree.

I haven't given the feature too much thought. Sometimes mine are on sometimes off. I do agree that they can be a distraction.

To me, one of those nice to have features, but not really need to have.

I can see my garage doors fine when it is tilted. Maybe my doors are more narrow than yours.

Default Off goes the tilting side mirrors.

I'm turning the feature off as some have done. I guess it's there in case you want to look for loose change when back out of a parking spot near the mall. My 03 Acura TL had the same feature but only for the right side and only half as steep a drop in mirror angle as the ES. Sorry Lexus, i need to see what's out there when backing up and that ain't the ground next to me.

In order to park in my tiny garage I have to back in so that the driver's door opens to the middle of the garage. If I pulled in going forwards my door would hit all the junk I have piled on the sides such as kids' bikes and such. I love the tiliting down as I'm able to maneuver my vehicle to within inches of the bike handles.
