Oil Change DIY!

I found wood ramps will slide when you first try to drive up onto them. Especially with my my Corvette. I found Race Ramps were made to grip the ground. Plus they are solid (but very lightweight) so they won't collapse like I've heard Rhino Ramps can. I have had a pair for the last year and half, and they have been great.

I use an oil change pump. It pulls the oil out of the dipstick opening and has worked great for my ES350. For some reason on my wife's Honda Pilot, it does not get to the bottom on the pan and I cannot use it on the Pilot.

hose adapter
Also, is that step necessary, or is it just to be less messy?
Thanks.

The hose adapter that was shown in the PDF comes with the filter. Or at least the filters that I have purchased. It does make it a little less messy using the adapter. I never tried putting a hose on it, and then pushing it on. Maybe next time.
