Default Lexus lease return

I am turning in my ES350 soon and have damage to all four rims...will I get "dinged" for this? Any suggestions?

Also, is a very clean 2001 Lexus RX 300 with 195,000 miles for $6k a bad deal. Very partiuclar person owned the car.

You will probably have to pay for the damage. Thats the chance one takes when leasing. Pay it & forget it.

6K sounds high for a '01 with that high a mileage on it.

AutoTrader may be a good place to look around

You would be best to find out who services your Lexus dealer for rim repair and contact them directly (every dealer has contracts with at least one mobile rim repair guy). You will be able to get all repaired for somewhere between $100-150 each. If you return the car with damaged wheels, Lexus will double the price to $300 each. THEN, learn how to drive after that. There is NO reason to damage all 4 wheels. I have never even curbed a rim.....because I pay attention when parking!

$6k is too high for a 9 year old RX300 with nearly 200k miles. It's also quite a step down from an 07-08 ES350. Be away of the transmission failure issue with the first gen RX. That one may be ready for its 3rd unit by now.

thanks douch. I was looking for opinion on questions not the valor of why I have 4 damaged wheels or why I am buying a 2001 RX...

I love how people use forums to express themselves...Miniz is the type of person who would have a hard time saying his name in a social environment!

If you're just talking about a little curb rash (no more than a few inches) , it MIGHT be considered normal wear and tear, just like minor door dings and tiny rock chips on the hood.

I'd possibly call up a different dealer anonymously and just ask someone who handles the returns to see if that's something they consider acceptable or not.

Good luck...

Maybe if you knew how to correctly park a car, you wouldn't even have to ask the question on here. You are exactly the type of person who would back into my pristine car and then take off, calling it a 'nudge'.

Guys,

Knock off the personal insults and name calling. Not the type of community Club Lexus is or wants to be.... if you can't express yourself politely and maturely I suggest you don't post here in the future.
