Should I buy a used 2007 Lexus ES350 with 63K miles?
Hi all! I am new to this forum and new to Lexus. I have my heart set on a ES350 with Nav. I have found one in my price range BUT, it has 63K miles on it. I have never bought a used car so I am a bit worried.
Does the Lexus 2007 ES350 last a long time? Does it have any major problems I would need to worry about?
How about maintenece? Is it super expensive?
It isn't at a Lexus dealer therefore there is no warranty.
Thanks!!!!

I would think about that car. There are a lot of low mileage 2007's out there even though 67K is not real bad. I don't know what the price is but it would have to be very good to make it worthwhile for me. They certainly are good cars and last well beyond 67K but they are also quite expensive to repair - the nav alone could cost a couple of thousand dollars.
I would look for something under 40K miles and a CPO from a Lexus dealer.
And welcome to Club Lexus.

The total price out the door will be $22K. It is out of state but, I plan on having it inspected by a 3rd party company. I also did a carafax and it checks out.
For most 2007 Lexus ES350 in my are (Atlanta) they are $25K - $29K and that is before taxes are added on.
What do you think?
Could I purchase and aftermarket warranty? If so, where would I go?
Thanks!!!

Do you know if many others are having this same problem?

As much as I liked my '07 (trouble free) and '10 you might be able to find a CPO (with warranty) or depending on your budget, a different brand of new car with full warranty. Just a thought.

Car had 1,000 miles on the clock and the transmission started to shift erratically. First it was a new converter, then Lexus replaced the whole thing. Many postings on the 2007 ES350 in 2007 regarding the transmission. Seem to remember that many of them were sold with notations about the transmission in the description back then.

Tesuki, those prices $25k-$29k are they advertised prices or are they sit down face to face prices? What they ask for and what they will settle for, sometimes is a very wide margin. If you find one you like go in real low, you can always come up. Might take all day, but you could save plenty. I have found some dealers I can deal with and others, have never been able to come away with a deal. Might be worth a shot.

correct... prices are tanking... deflation or whatever demand is waning. for an 07 lexus.. 50K plus miles. .i wud probably bargain down to 20 K range.. or lesser.. check hwy67.com and dfw craiglist and even ebay.. but the moot point is.. u need to test drive each car to get the real idea of how it is.. pictures can trick u.
