Default Need info on ES mags

I am preparing for the winter and wonder if i should go with some plain black metal rims with no sensors or some very cheap used Lexus mags with sensors from the scrap yards.

My questions are do i have to find specifically ES350 mags to use the sensors or any models can do ? Can i reset the sensors myself or i have to go to the dealer.

Plus, do i have to have 5 used mags since the computer calculate for all rims ?

If it is complicated, i might as well get the plain old metal black rims, thank you.

Try e-bay motors for Camry wheels or Lexus wheels. A thought might be to buy a nice set of chrome or upscale wheels for the summer and utilize the stock wheels for the winter. I stopped changing the wheels / snow tires a few years ago. Just running the all weather tires and driving careful in the winter.

Sounds like to much overkill here. Just use the same wheels for summer and winter.

Well, in Quebec, winter tire is manditory and i don't like bringing my car every year to change the tires on the oem mags.

I just wonder if it is complicated to find a set for used Lexus rims with sensors on the scrap yards and if it is compatible with my car VS buying a plain set generic black rims cost wise.

Garsarno: Will Camry rims fit perfectly the ES, because scrap yards have a lot them ?

I bought a second set from Tire rack's web site and during check out they offered a program tool. I purchased it with the TPS but before I could use it I took the car in for the gas pedal recall and good old Lexus service reprogrammed the TPMS with out me asking at no charge.

I would caution against using Camry rims as I believe someone else tried that and found the 17" Camry rim would not accommodate the ES350's brakes...

Frankly, i want to avoid problems be saving some $$ with new plain hold metal black rims for the winter tires, but if i can find something compatible with sensors for nearly the same price, i would like that.

It is also as hard to find used 17's camry rims. Do i have to bring the car in to reprogram the spare sensors ?
