The buttons underneath the glove box are for winter/summer tire sets. Tpms pressures can be set differently for each. I believe with the help of the dealer/obdII controller you can also change these for different tire/wheel sizes but i have never tried... california doesnt have winter

Im not near my car right now, but I think the button for the resetting is under the driver side dash, just above the gas pedals. I think it is a single button with nothing near by. One time my daughter hit it after a long drive and so when the car cools down, it would trigger the light.
I would wait until the car cools down and then reset OR what I did was lower the psi to 25 and then reset and used an air compressor to bring the psi back to 30-32.
I can take a pic of that button later tonight....
EDIT: There is a AFS button near my reset button. And there is another button as mentioned earlier under my glove box. Never use that before...

For the second year in a row, the morning after I arrived in the Salt Lake City area (4,200'MSL), the tire pressure warning light came on (temp about 30F). All five tire pressures were checked. Low was 33.5 and high 35 psi. Light did not extinguish until driving home when elevation went below 3,000' and the temp was 75F. It shouldn't have been the 33.5psi tire tripping the light. Any thoughts out there?

The tpms low pressure light illuminates when you drop x amount under what you set it at. Most likely it was set at a higher psi than you have now and the fluctuation caused the light to come on.
Easy fix: drop the pressure 4psi less than your preferred psi and reset the tpms under the dash. Re-inflate to your regular psi and you wont have the problem anymore.
That or just inflate your tires with nitrogen. As temperature has less of an affect on nitrogen than air.

I have put winter tires on without the sensors 2 weeks ago and for about 5 days the tire pressure warning light did not come on,but then it came on ,but disappears sometime for a day then comes on again. Why does it do that, why it does not stay on all the time?

You are confusing a correct system response from a loss in air pressure in a tire with the system being rendered inoperative because all the tire sensors are not installed. You have an inoperative system. Have you seen the TPMS warning light flashing after starting the engine? You ARE getting the light coming on steady eventually, indicating a system fault.......if I read your post correctly. Move your removed tires well away from the car and see if that changes the time it takes the system to respond to the " fault".
The system is explained fully in your Owner's Manual.
