Buying a 2007 ES350. What to look out for?
I'll be picking up an ES350 this week that has a few hundred miles left on the bumper to bumper warranty.
I'd like to look over everything that's prone to fail and have any deficiencies fixed under warranty if possible, but I'm not familiar enough with the vehicle to know what to look for. The local Lexus dealer says they can look the car over for me, but I doubt they'll be quite as detail oriented as I'd like.
I'd love some suggestions and pointers.
Thanks.

My suggestion is to buy the Lexus extended warranty just for the peace of mind. I got a 100k/7yr warranty on my 07 ES350 for a reasonable price based on recommendations from this forum.

My 07' is still under factory warranty, however, I purchased an extended warranty already which covers an additional 5yrs and up to 100,000 miles. Lexus is expensive as was my previous BMW's. I believe Lexus is better quality than a BMW, but cars can break, nothings perfect. Why not protect yourself. BTW do not purchase an extended warranty you find online. They are all scams one way or another. Buy a warranty from Lexus or through your Credit Union.

Go to a good Lexus independent for a detailed inspection. Then you'll have a shopping list of what should be done now under remaining warranty and what can be deferred. Then you can decide on the extended warranty. If it were me, I'd get the extended warranty. There area some good leads on this forum to dealers who sell Lexus warranties over the internet at competitive prices.
Good luck with your Lexus.

Thanks for the advice on the extended warranty. Here's the problem with that though: this was a trade-in at the Acura dealership. We would have followed up at the Lexus dealership but they're not open on Sundays, which is when my wife is free to shop.
