Default Tire Pressure on 2010 ES 350

Curious about the "correct" tire pressure on a 2010 ES 350 with the Michelin 215/55R17 tires.

The specs in the manual says they should be inflated to 30 psi; however when I had my 1,000 "check up" service, the dealer had found 2 tires out of balance. They rebalanced all 4 tires again, but I saw that they inflated the tires to 34 psi. The car doesn't seem to handle any better/worse; but will the tires wear more quickly/oddly because of this?

Should I adjust the air in the tires back to 30? Or is there a reason the dealer would set it to 34? Thanks for any info on this...

I experienced the low tire pressure light come on a few months ago. Inflated / checked all tires (including the spare) to 30 psi per inflation label. Light did not go out. Inflated to 34 psi all around and light went out. No ride problems. Colder up here, even now than in GA, will leave at that level for winter.

Default tire pressure etc.

Interesting 2010 and still showing 30 psi. I bought an 07 a year ago. tires at 35. I noticed 30 psi. Set to 32 actually and the low pressure light came on. When i inquired, 30 is too low. Then why does Lexus show that. Not sure but the light comes on if within 5 psi of setting. Obvsiously that must be 28 or 30. Supposedly a way to tweek that lower but i haven't figured it. And dealer said the Michelin's are probably good for 35-40m max so keeping 35 isn't going to prolong them much anyway.

Set mine at 30, the threshold for the TPMS system is at 28 (you can adjust this). No problems. Have 31K on the original Michelins and probably have 3K left on them.

I run 33 psi in my 2010 with no issues. Make sure spare is at same pressure. I'm running the OEM Bridgestones and they are smooth and quite. If the TPM light comes on just reset the system.

Thanks for all the feedback. On my car, even at 30 psi, the TPMS doesn't signal an issue for me. garsarno makes a good point w/ the colder weather coming. I guess leaving at some pressure above 30 is a good idea w/ the colder temps appearing now. The ride seems to be fine either way...
