Need help with hands free bluetooth 07ES w/o Nav.
Yep, i'm 62 and all of this very new to me. I don't have NAV and finally got phone linked to car system. However, confused with directions and tried to call the cell, but not sure how to answer a call. Cell phone rings, but nothing from car itself. Pushed the button answering phone saying hello, nothing? Also how do you load the cell phone library in unit and once you do how to make calls.
In Delaware now illegal to use cell phones period. So any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks and back to football on TV.

If the phone is not working (but already paired), a common troubleshoot is the bluetooth on the phone could be turned off (happens on mine from time to time). Set the phone to discoverable mode and make sure the bluetooth is set to "on". You should see the bluetooth symbol somewhere no the phones top banner.
If this does not work, another common option is to just remove the battery from the phone, blow on it and turn the phone back on. If this doesn't work either, you can try repairing the phone:
Use the push to talk switch and the voice should layout some commands. One of which is "phone set-up". Say phone set-up and continue with the voice instructions by hitting the push to talk switch and saying "yes" "pair phone" etc... Meanwhile from the bluetooth menu in your phone (probably under settings, make sure the phone is set to "discoverable mode". Once the phone is searching, "Hands Free" should show up on your phone. Select the pair button and you should be prompted with a pass key (four digits + enter) it's usually 1111 or 1212 etc...
If you can't get it to work after these steps, I suggest going to your local dealer and having them "re-pair" the phone for you. A porter, service adviser or tech should be able to help you out.
**Not sure what phone you have, but Blackberry's among other phones have been a common problem with some Lexus models regarding bluetooth
Hope the info helps
