Default Potential Transmission issue???

I have a 07 ES350 with 33k. I have been reading on-line that this years model or certain earlier dates of manufacture have problems with the transmission. I have had no tranns issues yet but am I doomed? My manufacture date is 06/2007. Am I outside the window of the earlier model trans problems?

From what I remember, I think you are OK. My car was an early build, leased on 10/1/06. The transmission was replaced in 1/07 with just a few thousand miles on the car. Since the replacement and 47,000 miles later, no issues. I did buy the Lexus Platinum Warranty just before my factory warranty expired just to make sure.

I had an early build (4/06) ES350 that I bought in early May '06. I kept it for nearly 4 years and no problem with the transmission.

As garsarno said, if you haven't had any problem to date, you should be OK

Warranty is determined by original purchase date - not manufacture date. The dealer can check this in their system.

The transmission flare is quite noticable and isn't something that happens after extended mileage - it will always have been there.

If you've not experienced any issue with your transmission then you're fine. My May '07 now has 93K miles on it and no tranny problems.

Default tranny issue

I have an 2007 with 52k on it. My tranny is slipping. I have an appt on saturday. I also have a noise that sounds like lifters. My car sounds like a diesel. I just purchased it in December. I have got to say I am rather disappointed. Thank heavens I purchased the extended warranty.

Congratulations on the new car. The engine noise and transmission are common concerns with many '07's. It seems there isn't much that can be done for them. If you do a search here on either issue you will find a lot of information.

Default 2007 Es350 still under 30day warranty CPO

I was just searching to see if anyone had encountered this trouble and to my surprised it seems that I am encountering this so called flare.

I have noticed it about 3-4 times in the 2 weeks (plus 1 week in the shop) that I have been driving my car, but only during cold morning driving and around 60km speed.

It seems that the transmission doesn't know whether to shift from 3-4 and there is a slight hesitation.

Kilometres on the car is 80k

So my CPO complaints seems to keep growing....

1-rattle in the front dash-it seems to be coming from driver and passenger side
2-They need to align the car/balance tire vibrates when it hits over 110km/h
3-this 3-4 grear hesitation

I know that there was a TSB for #1 the rattling I think, and not sure if there was a TSB for this #3

Taking her in next weekend which is the last of my 30 days and going to have them look at it.

Not true! There is a TSB for the transmission flare and it works. At least it did on mine. Completely solved the problem.

There is also a TSB for the rattles in the dash. That worked wonders as well.

What's the TSB for both issues? You said there's a TSB but didn't list the TSB.
