Seriously considering purchasing a used 2007 ES 350. Preferably somewhere around 30K miles. Doing a 5 year loan since budget can only afford so much per month.

This is going to be a long term vehicle, one that hopefully last us for years to come. Can you guys please provide objective opinion on this purchase? It's a big deal for us and we want to make sure we consider everything.

As you probably know some of the 2007's had problems with the transmissions and some were replaced so you would want to see a good service history on any 2007 you are looking at. The idea of a used 350 is good but if you could swing a 2008 for not very much more you might be a little better off. Even a Lexus has a few problems in it initial years although most are not as serious as the transmission issue that some Lexus had.
