What will you do if you have a new car
I think I am no longer see the warning in the new car's manual book saying you should not rev the engine, floor it or do sudden brake to a brand new car less than 1500 miles in it. What do you guys think about it? Do we really have "pamper" our car like this while it's new? Or with advanced technology, it doesn't matter anymore. Also, when do you guy change oil the first time? I did 1000 miles complimentary service, but the dealer didn't replace the oil.

Yes, the 1k service doesn't include an oil change. It's just to address any early issues, change personal settings etc.
As far as oil changes you can't go wrong following the mfgrs. recommendations. Which is every 5k miles (I think 2011's are 10k if the car came with synthetic oil).

New cars do come ready to go but I still believe that a little bit of restraint for the first 1,000 miles or so is a good idea. And that also applies to new tires, brakes or whatever.

I was told during the receiving meeting that for the 1st 200-500 miles do not drive at a constant speed. Drive per normal but avoid a constant speed . So driving home which was interstate type highways I varied from 45 , 55 , 60 , 65 , 70 and back down the 50 miles I had to travel. After being in my home town I would just drive normally which was 30 , 40 , 45 , 50 mile an hour roads. So take your time and just enjoy the car. I did my own 1st oil change at 3000 miles. I let Lexus do the 5000 mile change at 6000 miles and will now change my own oil every 5000 miles. I had them give me 4 oil filters as part of the deal when I purchased the car.
