noted a puddle of clear water-like fluid under the car (under engine) after the car had been idling for ~10minutes but the AC was NOT on. The fluid is clear looks like water but has a faint smell of "engine". Had recently had an oil change & everything checked out ok. Any advice much appreciated.

I think about the only place a "clear water like liquid" under your car could come from is going to be the AC condensate tube even if the AC is turned off. Everything else that contains water mixes it with something - coolant, windshield washer flued etc. and is noticeable. I once had a cracked battery leaking what looked like water but the difference was quickly evident.
