Default 2008 ES350 LED bulb swap

If I change the front turn signal bulbs and front side marker bulbs from hallogen to LED, do I need to add resisters as well? Thanks for any advice.

be careful on the diameter and length of the LED bulbs; I have 6 bulbs that I just bought that I am unable to use because they won't fit into the sockets. Also the cheaper T10 wedge bulbs have hair-thick wires (not doubled) and aren't worth a flip !!! These are the 4 for 4.95 buy it now bulbs--don't waste your funds because they won't make electrical contact. It seems that Lexus allows about 1/8-1/4" clear on the ends of the bulbs to the plastic lens on the rear anyway; also lights on the bottom of the doors are assembled complete with the holder and cannot be separated even tho they are standard wedge lights. I put super white bulbs in front 'parking' lights and 100 watt bulbs in the high beams and that is all I have been able to do thus far. Have lights for the backup bulbs but I can't remove the trunk lid cover (yet) so my bulb change out is a low percentage. Think real hard about all this !!! different from the LS's.

You put 100w bulbs in there? Are these bulbs running at a lower/stock wattage but have the output of a 100w bulb - or are they actually 100watts?

If so, you could possibly damage stuff.

I ran higher than stock wattage bulbs (80w I think) in a car and the mirror/relective material inside the headlight housing was bubbled up from the heat after continual use. Granted - these were for regular head lights whereas the high beams only get brief use when used at full power (DRL are partial power).

Best way to go is to stick with the higher end stuff like PIAA that has higher output, but runs at the same wattage as stock.

I have been running 100 Watt halogons since 1979 !!!! First in Cibe' Z beams (France) in BMW's {used to be H4's & H3's}; never damaged anything in ANY car I have ever had ( have in 5 cars now) in the last 32 years. Ran in my LS for the last 12 years. I now sure hate to hear that the ES cannot handle it? Believe these are 9007's if my mind serves me; just about the only place to get these for the past 30+ years has been JCWHIT; my F150 also has the same super white 100 watt 9005's--great, my spares will work in both.
Did put PIAA's in the ft parking/side wafer lights like I had put the LS years ago; but these are expensive and were more 'blue' than they used to be; said they matched the HID's in kelvin--but that was a joke !!

addendum: the fuses are 15 amp and with 12 volts that is good for 180 watts as info.

From my experience, if you just change the front side markers to leds, no "check light" will appear in the dashboard. If you decide to change the front turn signal bulbs to leds, you will need a resistor. For me, there was no "check light" on dashboard but there was hyper blinking, hence you need to add the resister to make it blink at normal speed. I got my parts from v-leds.com (194 front side marker and their resistors, splices with the mounting gear) except i would not recommend their 7440 front turn signal leds because the assembly of our headlight is kinda weird since there are not a lot of reflectors. I went with superbrightleds.com in the end and got one that blinks only 130 degrees (not the brightest but i like how it is a real amber colour).
