As we all know, the stock DRL's look horrible on our cars, with that gross faded yellow light. I have been researching for LED daytime running lights which can also act like real high beams when needed. All of the LED DRL's on ebay and other places do not become high beams when needed, they simply do not get bright enough or throw the light far enough in front of the car. Audi and some other cars are now using LED's for headlights, both low and high beams, so the technology exists. Has any one run across a LED DRL that can actually be used as a high beam on Lexus? vleads claims theirs can, but this is a lie. I have seen their LED DRL's on 3 different vehciles, and they do NOT light up enough at night to be considered anything near a high beam; it just looks like you turned your DRL's on when you try to activate the high beams. Thanks in advance for any input.

On the same boat with you. I bought the v-leds 9005 DRL and it looks great during the day. But when it is used as the high beam, it is pathetic. I guess I am sacrificing safety over looks. If you are that concerned, I suggest you to get 6k halogen bulbs as your drl, better than nothing
