I'm considering adding new light in the trunk of my ES350, right now, i have a 120cm strip of white led with 3m backsiding, quite bright and hoping to velcro on the metal sheet where the sub is resting on. I know that leds strip takes little amps, would you think i can tap to the present trunk light ?

I would think it is ok, but always good to ask first.

You can just tap into your original trunk light no problem.

You could probably find a base that fits into the stock housing like a normal bulb and use that to power your LED strip. That would mean no cutting or splicing of the factory wiring

Yes, you can find a 194 base and and adapt it to the trunk light socket. This can be found on v-leds.com.

BUT if you do decide to t-tap or splice tap the led power wire to one of the trunk wires, please take pics and DIY... i have yet to do mine too.
