A/C Fan not blowing air out the vents intermittently
Started not working a couple months ago. Now, most of the time when I start the car, the air will not come on (blow out the vents). When/If it does come on and start blowing, the air is cold or hot depending on what settings I have it on, but this makes ma believe the fan motor itself is going bad. Of course - this is horrible timing as I have the car up for sale right now.
2007 ES350.
Any advice? Trying to fix this on a budget. Have to sell the car to pay for medical bills. (Long long story there.)
THanks all!

If the HVAC system is set on the "Auto" setting, the fan won't come on to warm the car interior until the engine has warmed up enough to provide hot water to the heater. This is normal winter operation.
Try the manual setting for the heater & see if the fan starts blowing air as soon as the car is started. It should, but the air will be cold until the engine warms up.

Before condemning the blower motor check fuse box underhood at the fusible link blade for the Heater fuse. If fuse is good verify 12volts at blower pin#3, ground resistance 1 ohm or less at pin#1 and some voltage present at pin#2. If all conditions are meet than the blower motor is suspect. Good Luck!

Yes, you should. You are making a guess the blower motor is bad without performing any test to verify your theory. The heater fuse supplies power to the blower. If there is something wrong with the fuse your blower will not operate properly. Testing the connections mentioned will verify if you have proper power, ground and a signal from the Amplifier commanding the blower to operate. Good Luck!
