Default Streaming music via bluetooth in ES 350 08 model

My ES 350 08 is a basic model and has bluetooth connectivity. This only streams phone calls. How can I stream music. I came to know that I can have a bluetooth car kit which supports A2DP, but I am not sure if this works as the car bluetooth need to support.
I don't want to use FM transmitter as I have never heard a good experience using this. Please let me know the setup to use.
I really envy 2012 Camry for this feature.

I don't think our car supports audio profiles for Bluetooth, just phone audio...

The 2010+ ES350 supports it - at least with the new Navigation system it does. My 2011 can do A2DP from my phone via BlueTooth to the audio system.

It doesn't work as cleanly as the USB to my iPod does though. You can't choose playlists, and I don't think you get song titles, etc.

one of the consistent problems with the ES is that it is so well built it "OUTLASTS" its current technology so it is always a game of trying to add-on aftermarket bits to keep the tech bit as current as the rest of the car is solid.

I would create a once a year budget of $500 for upgrades just to tech, like nav, reverse camera, USB, Hard Drive music< etc.

Hi, my first time posting here. Im trying to meet the 30 day 30 posts to be able to have full access to this site Not selling anything anytime soon! Love my 08 350es.
Your post about the tech list to update with a $500 budget caught my attention. I rarely use the navigation because Waze is so fast with real time reporting. I kinda have a heavy foot so I like to watch the police reports. I never intended to update Navigation. Then I saw you post for the back up camera that I have come to rely on. Please tell me what is required to update it or even if I have to update it. Am I ok as is?

I think the intention was more around "you upgrade to a back-up camera" - not an "update to the back-up camera".

i.e. I have no back up camera, so I could install one.
