Lexus still can't figure out what the problem is, yet it continues to happen. Both my key batteries are giving me trouble again right now in fact (key not detected flashing on the info display, low key battery on the info display, doors/trunk not opening intermittently when I'm standing in front of them), etc. I have to get in this week and get two new key batteries and the last time they were replaced was January 2013. Luckily they give them to me for free under warranty.

I've even kept my cell phone and wallet away from the keys at all times, as instructed by the service department, and they are still being drained somehow, so it's nothing I'm doing. Regardless, I shouldn't have to keep my wallet or cell phone away from them. All other intelligent keys from other automakers I've never had to do that or have had issues with the batteries draining like this. It's just a weird problem that Lexus can't seem to solve or fix which is frustrating.

Lexus just keeps replacing the batteries every 3-4 months and then that solves the problem until 3-4 months later when the keys are drained again and stuff flashes on the info display and I have intermittent issues opening the doors/trunk when standing in front of it. Then I know its time to head in and get two new batteries and the cycle repeats.
