At the minimum it was a hassle free and very pleasant experience.
On a '12 now, you should get around $3K under invoice.

Yeah $3k less than sticker isn't a great deal at all...

Are there factory to dealer incentives out now? There must be, you'd need them to be $3k under invoice...

I just bought a '12 Toyota Corolla for my wife's 44 year old son. Some kids today Anyway I attempted to use the Costco Program at their recommended dealer. Problem is, you need to go into the dealer's showroom before they can show you the Costco deal. They said it would be worth my while. No Thank You I did my negotiating over the telephone and by email. I was able to peruse most dealers inventories online, and found the best car for him. I then negotiated with all the local dealers, though only one had the exact car he really wanted. After negotiations were completed, I put $2K on a credit card, and paid the balance by personal check a day later when we picked up the car. A painless process, IMHO.

Rip the finance guy on the customer survey you receive.

I'm sure the TX dealer in question by the OP is Park Place Lexus. They seem to have the monopoly over luxury lines, especially in DFW.

Or Sewell. The Sewell guys I dealt with over a 3 month period are not exactly angels. Between PP and Sewell, it's hard to say who is worse.

I ended up walking and bought out of the area. So happy that I did, and would encourage you to do the same. But the truth is, there are plenty of rich idiots who will keep paying the premiums to line the wallets of the PP and Sewell guys, so either spread the word or pick another battle.
