Default 2012 ES Leather seats and weather guard

Guys,
May be I am just getting extremely picky. But my passenger side leather seats have way too many wrinkles for a new car. This is my first lexus and first car with leather seats so I am not sure what the normal looks are. I just wanted to ask you guys if that something normal.

Also, the weather strip along each door is also loose. I can just take them out from hand and put it back. Is that something normal too?

Please respond.

Thanks

Can you post pics of the seat?
I've never tried to pull out the weatherstrip by hand so I can't help you on that one.

Not sure about the seat w/o a photo.. As for the weatherstrip, take it in and have the dealer take care of it - you're under warranty unless you've driven over 50k miles already!

Guys,
I just got back from the dealership, they said that they have replaced the front passenger seat. However I believe it is the same one. They didn't give me any receipt or anything with it.

Maybe they had someone, like a car interior guy, snug up the leather? Are the wrinkles still there or less noticeable?

I believe it is still the same. They just kept the car for week.

There should be a service record on http://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home.
Maybe not if you didn't receive paperwork which you should have.
If you haven't,register on that site and check the service records on the car.

Do you have a picture? Leather is a natural product and there is some variance...

It even worst now.

I took my car to the dealership and they looked at it. They kept the car for 1 week and later told me that we have replaced the seat with a brand new one and replaced all the weather strips. I asked for receipt and they told me that since it was done internally there is no receipt.(Bull ****)

I later talked to the dealership GM and he told me that unfortunately, they replaced your seat with a demo unit. nothing was done on the weather strip as they were just tucked in and we just pulled them out.

Now they are saying...Bring it back and we will install brand new seat and weather strips.

I FEEL SO FREAKING MAD RIGHT NOW THAT I JUST WANT TO THROW THE CAR ON THEIR FACE.

Is there a way someone can give me the number to the LEXUS coorporation? I want to take it to the highest level since they lied to me.

to be honest i don't even feel the excitement of the new car.

First of all...you need to calm down. Its just a car, and its just a business transaction. When you get all emotional things get out of perspective and you loose effectiveness in getting what you want. Stay calm, be firm, and don't back down.

Now they are saying...Bring it back and we will install brand new seat and weather strips.
I would do that, and move on with your life. Simply don't patronize that dealer again. Sounds like someone who works there tried to get you out the door, and the GM is trying to make it right for you now.

You can call Lexus and complain, but thats not going to get you anywhere and all its going to do is make you madder. Life is too short.

Its 1-800-25-LEXUS but I wouldn't go there yet, save that in case the dealer doesn't come through for you this time.

You will have the option of filing with the BBB in your area if the next repair is not to your satisfaction.

I wondered if that's what they did! Sounds like plan A failed and they are now to plan B.
