Default Lexus ES350 TIRES

My car has about 32,000 miles. Original equipment were Michelin MXV4 S8 that Tire Rack etc all want around $200.00 ++ per tire.

Has anyone used the MXV4 ? The specs are very very similar and they are about $150.00++ per tire. This appears to be a 60,000 mile tire versus 50,000 on the original equipment

My tires have 5-6/32 left but I think it as almost time to replace am I crazy?

THANKS bunches, Dorothy

You think you're crazy?
I put a set of Primacy's MXV4's on my ES a week after I bought the car.I'm all about a smooth and quieter ride and the MXV4 work well.
I've had MXV4's on two previous cars.I even have a set on the wife's CR-V.

I believe top rated on Tire Rack and Consumers Report magazine.

Dorthy,
I would highly reccomend the Michelin primacy mxv4 through Discount tire if one is in your area. Putting the road hazard-certificants is well worth the option ...-0- cost out of your pocket if on ewas to be damaged. Anyway i just purch set of 4 yesterday...has 40k miles so did good with OEM'S. HE MENTIONED MOST GET 30-35K ON THE OEMS THAT COME WITH OUR VEH. i Also through aug 31st you get a $ 70.00 prepaid master card with purchase of set of 4 Michelins. Discount & Michelin are offering so you can go through Mich website if you purchase from another retailer. Fyi...purch these tires on previous 2004 ES WITH as Joel says smooth ride and great results. good luck ! BTW MAKEsure they are 'H RATED' AND NOT 'V' RATED....SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE FROM INFO YOYU GAVE US.

I replaced the original Michelins at about 35k miles with the MXV4's from Discount tire . . now at 50k and rotated twice - -excellent wear . . reasonable value.

Much has been written about tires for the ES350 on this forum. The one listed below is one of the better ones, and is still apropos:

Read the whole thread, and you should be able to make a good decision.

The original tires lasted 26k miles Bridgestone...The second set of Goodyear Eagles lasted 34k...At 60k, I put on a set of Goodyear assurance comfort tred Touring...They now have 18,000 miles on them and I have them rotated and balanced every 6k miles...Very pleased highly recommend...also had a great rebate on them when I bought them....
