I have the HID type and need to raise the projection a bit... is this possible?

You can adjust headlights in any car. Consult your owner's manual or use the 'search' function on the main forum page and you'll be able to find it. Typically, it's a screw-type-deal on the back of the headlamp housing. If you have AFS, I'm not sure you'll be able to but someone else with more knowledge may be able to chime in.

My Dealer/Service Rep )Lexus of Clearwater) stated these type headlights are self adjusting and cannot be done manually. Hmm... Thanks to everyone for your input and assistance.
