Headlight Water Condensation ES 350 And Will It Pass Texas Inspectio
My ES 350 has water condensation on the passneger side headlamp.
For those who are Texans, do you know if my auto will pass Texas inspection? Texas law indicates that an auto will flunk for water condensation on the headlights except for "composite headlamps non-seal beam halogen lamps". The ES 350 , I believe has HID headlamps.
The dealer told me it would pass so I guess I should take it to them for the inspection.
If anyone has had actual experience I would appreciate knowing how they fared. Thank you.
By the way is this condensation problem norma?. The owner's manual states "Temporary condensation buildup on the inside of the headlight does not indicate a malfunction." but the owner should check with the dealer if either water has built up inside the headlight or large drops of water have built up inside the lens. My headlight does not meet either of these two conditions but the condensation so far seems to be permanent rather than temporary.

Central Ohio here; they don't do inspections. However, after the detail and the paint protection application (bought CPO '08 in 10/2011) my passenger headlight had water in it for >2 days. Took it back, they replaced it for free.
