"Left-over" 2012 ES350s at the dealership...
I got a family member looking into getting a brand-new 2012 ES350 off the showroom (namely dealership). Obviously, inventory is sparse, and discounting is notable.
They are considering leasing, after discounting/negotiating from MSRP & determining a favorable money-factor %. I am trying to get them to buy it, give $X,XXX down & finance the rest w/ Penfed at 1.49%.
Anyone do something similar, namely make a somewhat recent move via the dealer on an unsold 2012 ES350? What kinda discounting is possible, in terms of % off the MSRP or $X,XXX below invoice (as each example of ES350 will vary w/ its equipment-level, and TTL will vary as well).
I've been perusing Truecar.com, Edmunds.com, etc.
Thanks, in-advance!

I'm not sure if this is along the same lines...but we just purchased a 2009 Lexus ES 350 UL from JM Lexus. It was a CPO so everything was spotless and everything ran smooth. The UL is fully loaded coming with all the bells and whistles. We got it $7,000 below asking price plus got 2.9% with Lexus Financial. I feel we got a great deal. With 2013s rolling out, there are definite deals to be had with the previous models. Good luck to all!
