Question headlights

Hi, am new member, and have just bought my third Lexus, a 2012 ES350. when driving at night, I've found that the headlights seem to be bright to a certain level, and then be dark at a higher level. Its almost as thou the light is being blocked half way up. I know that you don't want to shine at oncoming traffic, but the difference between the light and dark is very disconcerning. does anyone else find this problem? thanks

If you have the HID headlights, They do have a very sharp cut off. it's more noticeable with them than with regular halogen headlights. It may take some getting use to with them.

Thanks Lex Bob2,
The thing I disliked most is, if you drive on a bumpy road, the dark line bounces up and down as if you were on a boat. Hopefully I'll get used to it. Thanks again, Chas

I'm still not completely used to mine (bought '12 es350 in May). I don't feel like my lights on dim provide as much light as I'd like. I've contemplated seeing if I could raise them up a little, so I'd see better when dimmed.

That might help. The area between light and dark seems to be right at my vision line, so raising the light might help. Will ask my service tech. next service.
