This is the washer I’m talking about. It is not easy to replace it. You need to remove the power steering pump first because it goes over the bolt that holds the lower part of the VVT-i hose.

Do you have the all-metal hose or the rubber-metal?

Thanks! Ive been reading up and there is a nice tutorial here that shows what to do on a camry v6 but the components looks virtually identical. I do have a small leak and I'm hoping it might be this. I haven't looked yet bc it is cold outside and my wife drives the car but I am pretty sure it is the rubber replacement bc Ive checked my invoice. So for this weekend, I will check to see if they even actually changed it and then where the leak is. If it indeed is leaking here, I might replace it with the all metal piece.

Wondering about the vvt-i oil line on my 2008 rx350 I recently purchased. I’ve read about the Limited Service Campaign LSC 9 LH being extended to 12-31-21. I have read here that if mine was repaired it was only to install another rubber line and not the whole line with all metal. I understand the new rubber hose has a yellow line on it. I see that on mine so I assume it has been done. Will check with the local Lexus dealer. But my questions here are:

1. Is the replacement hose rubber better than the original? (I see no leaks)
2. If so how?
3. Would you recommend getting the all metal one or am I ok?
4. Other suggestions/info?

Thanks for all replies to come I hope.

Updated rubber hose is better but still miles behind the all metal one.
