High miles update
Thought I would drop in to say hello as it has been a while. Our 2008 ES350 is at 151k miles currently and running great. My wife got a new job with a company car now so I have been driving the Lexus from time to time. great car. I bought the extended warranty up to 125k miles from Jerry who was recommended here on the forums. I broke even. at 120k I had the Nav system freak out and it was at the dealer for 1 week while they put a new Nav head unit in there. about $1400 bucks but covered by my warranty that I believe was ~1200 bucks.
I had the tires rotated on monday of this week and when it came down off the lift it has "Check VSC" on the dash with the traction control light on.
I found this reset procedure and I will attempt it tonight. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...c-vsc-off.html
Hope everyones Lexus is doing well ! We have had much better luck with this car than the 745i or 540i she drove previously.

I sold my 1998 Lumina LTZ with a little over 100,000 miles to a friend way back in 2003. Today, he is still using the car and it has over 160,000 miles without no engine / transmission issues, just regular maintenance (he is a mechanic). I changed the transmission filter / fluid every 30,000 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic fluid. The GM 3.8 V6 is a strong engine.

No, and I did debate it. The Lexus dealer would not do it but the Toyota dealer said they would.
At over 150k miles now without any issues I am not sure I want to attempt it.
We bought the car with ~40k miles on it and my wife drives mostly highway with very little stop and go traffic in Kentucky so I have a feeling this will last a long time.
