Thanks, but I was asking for help with what the post was about, not advice. I’m aware of the implications and I don’t see why people on this thread feel the need to repeat this point. It’s been said before, even OP put a disclaimer that whoever does this is doing it at their own risk.
If anyone has any useful information about following the instructions in this post, do please let me know. I have already put on a self stripping connector to connect the blue and orange wires however my light is still on, so I’m curious as to what I’ve done wrong.

there was a video on youtube or somewhere that showed exactly how to identify the right wire, but when I search for it now I can't find it. I wish someone would post a link to it here. Basically from what I remember it involved using an ohm meter to find the right wire, if what I remember is correct you put the ohmeter to ground and then use the other lead to identify the wire that has wildly fluctuating values in the previously mentioned connector.
