starting problem; 2008 Lexus es350
Hi:
For over a year, I've been experience starting problems with my 2008 Lexus es350.
About every 3 starts or so, it takes my car 3 seconds are so of turning over before the car actually starts. So, 2 out of 3 starts are perfect.
I recently replace my stock batter for the first time (43,000) miles after my car battery died after being parked for only two hours... i thought this might solve the problem, but it hasn't.
Does anyone have any idea why it is taking my car so long to turn over every couple of starts?
thanks.

Possible Solution
I had a similar problem with my 08 after it sat for 7-8 hours. I had used Shell brand gas exclusively since new, I switched to BP and now it fires up immediately every time. Could be coincidental but the change has been consistent.

I have issues in the winter if I remote start the car and get in it within the first 2 minutes. Basically, car is started, I open door - car shuts off, re-start takes time.
I know it was silly, but the aftermarket remote starter is horrible at range; probably 50 feet or so at best line of sight. <32 degrees, I'd walk towards it and start it. If I open the door and try to re-start, it would act as if I flooded it. No start condition for probably 30 seconds, then it will chug and finally fire up.
I don't have any other issues from a starting perspective, so I've learned to not get antsy with the remote start - isn't going to make any difference to run for a minute before I reach the car.
