Default DECISIONS ? - 2007 CPO or 2010 higher miles non CPO for the same price ?

I have leased a 2010 ES for 2 years that I really liked.
I want to buy a 2007-12 ES.

If you could get an older 2007-2008 ES CPO or a newer 2009-2010 NON CPO for the same price,
which would you get?

I would go for the 2010 and get the Lexus extended warranty. The 2007 will eventually get caught up in miles to the 2010 and by then, you will have the newer vehicle with more refinements over the 2007. Buy the 2010 off lease?

Good idea. I'd go with a 2010 just for the mid-cycle updates the ES got in 2010. You can get the extended warranty at a discount from a couple of the vendors mentioned here on CL.

They're pretty bullet proof cars . . .certainly there is comfort in the CPO . . .but I've always subscribed to the belief that with cars at least, newer is generally better. If you want an extended warranty - -or even an after market one for drive line only - -price it out and roll the dice.

If you've done your homework and bought the right car, you probably won't need it.
