Unhappy 2009 slow leak

Hi, I've recently purchased a 2009 es350. When i first saw it on the lot, it had a flat tire on the front passenger and didnt worry too much about it. After having the tire inspected for nails/punctures, nothing was found. (the tire was submerged in water, and no signs of leaks) So i thought it was the seal around the tire/rim. Got the tire re-sealed, but still with no success. Any suggestions? Is the TPMS known to leak? The drop is about 5 psi / 4 days. Any suggestions are appreciated.

As you've done all other due diligence, I would tend to think the tire itself may be defective.

My friend once bought new tires and they went flat even though there were no visible holes/leaks.

I had a similar experience with a 2006 RX330 although it was a much slower leak. It finally went away when I replaced the tires..

Since you are from Ontario, it is likely corrosion or dirt of the rim by the edge where tire makes the seal to it. Presuming that the tire is OK, I would take it to a tire shop, let them clean up the bead seat and put some sealer on it. That should take care of it It will cost you less than $20...

Sometimes the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrader_valve gets a bit of dirt in it or the little spring is weak, which results in a slow leak. a new valve core is a quick $0.20 fix. It might even be just loose and a little turn with a slotted valve cap can tighten.

Yup, you can test this yourself with some spray on the valve with cap off (or the old-school spit check )

so i took it back to where i got it re-sealed and they finally found a small pin hole. they said one bubble came out every 2-3 mins. guess the first time they didnt wait that long. will keep an eye on the tire pressure for the following days. thanks for all your suggestions. oh and they also replaced the core .. or schrader valve as a precaution.
