Default Proper Tire Pressure 2007 ES 350

I recently bought this 2007 ES 350. The Tire Pressure Monitor alarm is on. I understand the procedure for resetting it, which isn't working. (And all 4 tires are at proper tire pressure). I also understand that the last week has been WAY BEYOND what would reasonably be considered "Check when cold". I.e. The HIGHS over the last week have been in SINGLE digits with night temps going from -5 to -15.

I can put up with the light. At least for now. My real question is: "According to the sticker inside the driver door panel", 30 PSI is the recommended Cold tire pressure. Are there any TSB's or other postings that contradict this and recommend 32-35 PSI or similar? OR, is 30 PSI truly what is recommended and what everyone seems to have their tires set to?

Would bringing the pressure UP help with the TPM light not going out? I've never remember having a vehicle where the tire pressure was that low. Any input is appreciated.

Yes.

Something I was wondering. The owner's manual and other threads/articles mention the MAIN/2nd switch used if you have a 2nd set of tires. According to my manual, it says this switch is next to tire pressure calibration button. Mine isn't. The button next to the tire pressure calibration button is the button for the AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System). I'm wondering WHERE the Main/2nd button is. Perhaps it got pushed in. Unfortunately, I can't find it.

This is why I love forums. When I bought the car a couple weeks back, I noticed the Tire Pressure Warning light on. I asked the dealer to check all the tires. They said they did. When they delivered the car to me, (I had them do some minor cosmetic work on it before I would take it), the dealership said all tires were correct pressure, but they "Didn't have the right tool to rest the Tire Pressure Warning light". They said I could take it to their other dealership in my town. I knew there were no tools needed, but I didn't want to call his bluff.

Anyway; I read the manual and checked everything online. I adjusted the air in all 5 tires. I went through the reset sequence a number of times. It still wouldn't turn off the light. The only thing else I could think of was the MAIN/2nd switch. Problem is, the owner's manual showed the button next to the tire pressure reset/initialize switch. It wasn't there. Some other lexus had it in the glove box. It wasn't there either. You're insightful knowledge got me to go back out to the garage; ( 5 degrees currently). Sure enough, the button was UNDER the dash UNDER the glove box. And sure enough, the button was pushed "IN". (2nd). I pushed the button back to "MAIN". Turned on the accessory switch. After about 15-20 seconds of flashing, the tire pressure warning light WENT OUT!!! YAY!!!

Now tomorrow, I'll readjust the tire pressure back to where it belongs. Right now I have them a little high. (33-34 Cold). Thanks again for your insight. The only reason I'm writing THIS MUCH, is in the hope that someone else with a similar problem will read this and save themselves a lot of headaches believing they have real problems which aren't really there. Thanks again. Mike......
