CD player not displaying info
On my 2009 ES350, the cd changer will not display any info on the cd I'm playing, such as song title or cd title. It'll only display the track number and the time of the song. Even though I've had the car a couple of years now, I usually played old cds, or cds I made myself, so I though t that was the reason for the lack of info.
But I recently received a Michael Franti cd , copyright 2013 and still the same result. Is there a setting I'm missing here?
Thanks
Tom

If the CD isn't manufactured/burned with the CD-TEXT option, the radio has no information to go on. Most audio CDs don't use this option in my experience.
If you're creating CDs yourself, putting 4-6 alums on a CD in (data) mp3 format will invariably show you tag information - assuming the tags exist on the mp3 files properly. For instance, I have 6 CDs loaded full of mp3 files, and I have the head unit set to show me the track title.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the response. I'll have to play the cds on my wife's sienna , I'm pretty sure, but not 100% sure that the cd player in her car displays the info.
